About the role
Role Summary
The Senior Business Analyst serves as the bridge between technical operations and business objectives. This role involves overseeing operational processes, analyzing data for performance optimization, supporting system maintenance, and providing process improvement recommendations to ensure operational excellence in the Directory One environment.
The analyst will collaborate closely with technical teams, operators, and stakeholders to enhance reporting, improve workflows, and ensure reliability of directory assistance operations.
Key Responsibilities

Analyze existing operational processes to identify areas for efficiency and automation improvements.

Collaborate with system operators and engineers to ensure business continuity and adherence to service standards.

Monitor and evaluate performance metrics and generate comprehensive reports for management and stakeholders.

Translate technical findings into actionable insights for business leaders.

Support documentation updates and process standardization initiatives.

Ensure proper escalation and resolution of system issues affecting business operations.

Contribute to ongoing improvement of workflows and data integrity across UNIX-based environments.

Maintain strong communication with both technical and non-technical teams to ensure alignment of goals.

Assist in compliance audits, preventive maintenance coordination, and capacity planning.
Qualifications and Skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities in a technical operations environment.

Proficiency in UNIX systems and experience working with large-scale data or telecommunications systems.

Excellent reporting and documentation skills, with attention to operational detail.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with fluency in English and French.

Ability to work in a shift-based, on-site environment that supports 24/7 operations.

Familiarity with network operations, IT infrastructure, or telecommunications processes.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

High sense of confidentiality and reliability under pressure.
Education and Experience

Associate degree or higher in Information Technology, Data Processing Technology, Telecommunications, or a related field.

5+ years of experience in a business analyst or systems operations role within an IT or telecommunications environment.
-
Experience with IBM AIX, Nortal systems, or similar legacy UNIX environments is an asset.
Work Schedule
- Rotating shifts covering Day (7 AM–3 PM), Evening (2 PM–10 PM), Night (9 PM–7 AM), and Weekend (7 AM–7 PM).
- On-site presence required due to the secure and closed network setup.
