What will your typical day look like?
The Deloitte Global Employer Services team is currently seeking experienced tax professionals who are looking for a challenging and rewarding career. You will support the team by assisting clients and internal teams with all aspects related to employee and executive compensation, including the design and operation of incentive programs for both private and public companies. You will provide advice on tax and social security requirements and implications, perform complex calculations, and ensure compliance with applicable legislation. You will help identify tax savings opportunities and advise clients on share plans, bonuses, pension plans, or other compensation programs. You will assist organizations in aligning their compensation and benefits programs with their talent and business strategies, as well as with market needs. To do this, you will participate in the analysis of various deferred compensation plans, from both a domestic and international tax perspective. You will provide support and guidance on compensation planning in the context of mergers and acquisitions, due diligence exercises, implementation, and the design of post-closing incentive plans. You will also assist clients in implementing, reviewing, and optimizing their programs to achieve their business objectives. Additionally, you will advise clients on the best ways to leverage technology to improve efficiency, streamline processes, ensure compliance, and make informed decisions based on available data to help drive their business success.

Our GES specialists across Canada are available to ensure tax planning and compliance requirements are met while offering a broad range of cost-effective, value-added tax planning that recognizes each country’s unique economic and cultural environment.

You are someone with:
- Completed undergraduate degree with outstanding academic credentials
- A completed master’s degree in Tax or an accounting designation, with a minimum of 7 years of relevant work experience
- Experience with design of compensation and equity programs would be an asset
- Strong commitment to professional client service excellence; employee & employer tax matters
- Excellent interpersonal relations and demonstrated ability to effectively lead teams
- Client facing, bringing new ideas
- Superior verbal and written communication skills; bilingualism would be an asset
- Ability to develop and present new ideas and conceptualize new approaches and solutions
- Proven analytical skills and systematic problem solving
- Canadian travel required, occasional international travel
- You are flexible in terms of work schedule, as overtime will be required at various times during year
- Bilingualism in French and English is required for this position due to the nature of the role having interactions with National & Global clients and project teams.
Total Rewards
The salary range for this position is $116,000 - $215,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
