About the role

Our client; Davenports Auto Parts, in Orangeville is looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to join their team!  As a fast-paced and customer-focused business, the Bookkeeper is responsible for tracking and managing financial data and operations across multiple locations.  The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, be proficient using QuickBooks Online, and possess excellent organization and communication skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:

·        Accurately record day-to-day financial transactions

·        Coordinate the full cycle of accounts payable

·        Monitor financial transactions and reports

·        Bring books to trial balance

·        Support the preparation of financial statements and reports

·        Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes

·        Maintaining accuracy of the general ledger

·        Work with an accountant, as necessary

·        Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless financial operations

·        Provide administrative support, as required

·        Ensure all financial actions comply with legal requirements

Requirements

·        Post secondary education or equivalent experience in accounting or business administration

·        Strong knowledge of general accounting principles

·        Proven bookkeeping experience

·        Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles

·        High degree of accuracy and attention to detail

·        Experience with QuickBooks Online

·        Excellent verbal and written communication skills

·        Strong attention to detail and accuracy
