About the role

Rochester Midland Corporation, a leading manufacturer and global supplier of specialty chemicals for boiler, cooling and wastewater treatment is seeking an experienced sales leader to manage a $30 million dollar business for its Water Energy Division in the Eastern Ontario, Montreal, and Nova Scotia.

This motivated candidate will solicit sales and support Commercial and Institutional Division programs and products in Water Energy to current and future customers. To be successful in this position, this candidate will have the ability to effectively communicate with people at all organizational levels.

Job Summary The Regional Sales Manager plans, organizes, directs, and controls the area sales and service operations of the Company. This includes revenue growth, sales budgets and forecasts, territory area development, sales and customer training, and other customer relations as needed.

Essential Job Functions

  • Oversee day-to-day performance to achieve established goals, including revenue, gross margin, customer satisfaction, health and safety, and employee engagement
  • Develop and implement objectives in conformance with the overall Water Energy Division goals for profitable sales growth, customer service, and personnel development
  • Lead all operational aspects with budget responsibility, including planning, control, and the identification and prioritization of business opportunities
  • Manage all aspects of financial sales leadership for the area including forecasting, budgeting, pipeline, and market and competitive analysis
  • Provide strong and inspired leadership to all employees, fostering an organizational culture of urgency, open communication, and a collaborative approach to solving business challenges, thereby building trust-based relationships to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Manage team core competencies including technical knowledge, business management, and sales methods toward specific territory sales targets
  • Actively manage talent development to ensure the right capabilities are in place to meet current and future performance requirements.
  • Keep abreast of the latest technology, product development, marketing and sales through reading, attendance at seminars and conferences, etc.
  • Embrace and model RMC values and culture
  • Other duties as required

Education EDUCATION/ SPECIAL LICENSES OR CERTIFICATION :

  • Bachelor’s Degree

Experience

  • Eight years performing direct sales duties in the Water Treatment or related technical services industry
  • 5 years management responsibilities are required, preferably involving sales in related industries
  • Extensive knowledge of sales management, direct sales methods/techniques,
  • Knowledge of Water Treatment technology, applications, and procedures is preferred
