About the role
Job Opportunity: Ensure the timely shipment of quality products. Ensure compliance with all
company policies and procedures, all S.O.Ps, work instructions, and GMPs. Proactively supervise departmental metrics that impact cost. Foster a team atmosphere, provide vision and demonstrate support of the company’s core processes. This position is for a steady afternoon shift.
Hours of work – Monday–Thursday, 3:00 p.m.–10:30 p.m.; Friday, 12:30 p.m.–5:30 p.m.
What you will be doing:

Ensures department meets shipping goals on a daily basis.

Creates documents and shares departmental metrics for productivity, safety, quality, and any other metrics required by the company.

Obtain and process product orders, including receiving deliveries, registering them and distributing packages within the company
-
Maintain the company warehouse through SAP, WMS.
-
Schedule large shipments and plan logistics.
-
Keep files of goods shipped and received by preparing regular shipping and receiving reports for supervisors and managers.

Handle issues arising in shipping or inventory handling

Ensure adherence to environmental management and systems
-
Trouble shoots shipping issues and customer complaints that arise and work to solve them

Place merchandise in a warehouse or storage facility by packaging, lifting items as necessary, operating forklifts and pallet jacks for large goods

Available for monthly inventory audits of finished goods and raw materials

Ensures compliance to all company policies and procedures.

Owns issues and problems, seeing them through to resolution.

Builds collaborative relationships within the organization.
-
Identifies and resolves potential safety problems; responds to safety audits.

Ensures all documentation/time sheets are legible and accurate.

Performs job duties in accordance with all federal, state, local, and company safety rules.

Performs other job duties as assigned.
What you need to succeed:
- High school diploma or G.E.D. required.
- Must have three years of related experience.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with others at all levels of the organization.
- Must be able to read and comprehend complex instructions, short correspondences, and memos.
- Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Must be able to perform intermediate arithmetic.
- Must have experience in Excel, spreadsheets and be able to access information on the internet.
- Must have knowledge of proper loading techniques.
- Must have the ability to operate a label machine.
- Must have the ability to operate the FedEx and UPS meter machines.
- Must be skilled in office procedures and methods including, but not limited to, telephone communication, office systems, and record keeping
- Must demonstrate working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Must be able to maintain good attendance.
- Must be able to perform all essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodation.
