Salary:
Classification 8 $48,675.06 – $50,180.47 annually in accordance with the BCGEU Support Collective Agreement. Vacation (119 hours annually) is pro-rated and front loaded. We offer competitive extended health and dental benefits, and time off for family illness, personal illness, and other special leaves. Closure during the Christmas Break (December 25 – January 1) is paid time off. Enrolment in the Municipal Pension Plan is mandatory for all regular full-time staff, with employer-matched contributions.
Description:
The Campus Services Clerk responds to external and internal inquiries from students, staff, and the public in person, by phone, and through written correspondence for programs offered college wide. The Clerk performs routine public relations functions, including providing general information on policies and procedures, maintaining course interest lists across all program areas, and following up with students by phone and email.
This role is responsible for daily cash-outs and bank deposits, requiring strong attention to detail and accuracy. This position requires excellent organization skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in an environment with frequent interruptions.
The Clerk completes all registration procedures for current and prospective students and maintains the student records system, Ellucian Colleague. Qualifications:
Required:
- Office Administration certificate
- Minimum of two years of related work experience
- Proficiency with a current version of Microsoft Office
- Experience validating cash and balancing accounts
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Preferred:
- Experience with a student records registration system
