Your Opportunity:
Health Link Calgary is looking for applicants for an Administrative Support III – Immunization Booking Clerk position. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment providing excellent client service in a contact centre, this position may be of interest to you. The incumbent is responsible for triaging calls received by a centralized immunization booking line. The incumbent books, edits and cancels immunization appointments at Community Health Centres and Public Health Offices in the Calgary Zone; refer select calls to Public Health sites following a triage process; and performs registration functions (updating or creating electronic client records). The incumbent must understand and adhere to booking guidelines for immunization appointments and have meticulous attention to detail, while maintaining consistency and accuracy.

Required Qualifications:
Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.
Additional Required Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have a high school diploma and experience providing excellent customer service. Minimum 2 years of call center experience within the past 5 year. Knowledge and ability to use Connect Care is required. Minimum 1 yr. related experience (within the last 3 yrs.) in a computerized system doing appointment booking, scheduling and client registration. Accurate and proficient keyboard skills (minimum 45 WPM – testing will be required). Computer navigation skills and basic to intermediate level knowledge of Windows Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Extended periods of sitting are required. Detail-oriented and ability to work with minimal supervision. Ability to deal effectively with people in potentially confrontational circumstances. Ability to work in a noisy, fast-paced environment. Ability to communicate effectively with clients of varying ages, socioeconomic statuses and ethnic backgrounds and varying levels of English language fluency.
Preferred Qualifications:
Unit Clerk or MOA certificate an asset. Experience equivalents will be considered. Knowledge and ability to use the Net Care clinical information system and the Genesys phone system is an asset. Previous Public Health administrative experience supporting Well Child/ School Program an asset.
