Position Summary:
The Research Assistant 2 assists the Research Supervisor in conducting research projects and as required, is responsible for the functional supervision of the Research Assistant 1 and/or Undergraduate/Graduate Research Assistant.

Duties:

  • Manage a large team of student RAs to complete multiple projects for deadlines
  • Organize and supervise the team's development of digital materials
  • Design and conduct RCTs and qualitative studies around the team's stepped care program effectiveness
  • Lead in the academic and community knowledge mobilization to promote team activities
  • Oversee all RA contracts and finances, in collaboration with office director

Skills

  • Ability to develop digital materials (interactive infographics, animated/narrated videos, promotional materials) using CANVA, Adobe, Powerpoint, MyCourses, Articulate Rise that meet accessibility standards
  • Ability to design and conduct RCT from ethics to registration to completion
  • Ability to use both SPSS and r to conduct analyses from basic to multi-level modelling
  • Ability to conduct qualitative interviews and focus groups in both English and French
  • Understanding and ability to implement stepped care low intensity digital programing
  • Ability to independently conduct both academic and community knowledge mobilization (i.e., draft and revise publications and present at peer reviewed conferences as well as conducting workshops and talks in the community)
  • Ability to manage a large team (12+) of casual student RAs to complete projects with tight deadlines and supporting team members in all project activities (e.g., material development, research, promotion)
  • Ability to manage finances using excel and responsible fund management]

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years designing and conducting RCTs in relevant area (stepped care)
  • Minimum 5 years developing digital materials
  • Minimum 5 years experience with REBs, study design, statistical analyses and academic writing and presenting
  • Demonstrated experience conducting qualitative interviews and focus groups in both English and French
  • Documented strong research record as first author on multiple publications and peer reviewed conferences in relevant field
  • Minimum 5 years experience as research project coordinator of projects with student RAs
  • Experience with large fund management
