About the role
Join our Marketing team filled with creative students passionate about documenting, experimenting, and showcasing all that the Makerspaces have to offer! We provide free tools, equipment, and materials so students can bring any project to life. As Social Media Manager, you’ll play a key role in helping more students discover, understand, and get excited about the Makerspaces.
In this role, you’ll help plan and create engaging social media content for platforms like Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok. This may include brainstorming post ideas, designing graphics, filming short-form videos, writing captions, highlighting workshops, showcasing student projects, and capturing behind-the-scenes moments in the spaces. You’ll also help support our online community by encouraging engagement, responding to student interest, and making the Makerspaces feel welcoming and accessible.
You’ll experiment with trends, storytelling, visual design, and content strategies while learning how to track what performs well through insights such as reach, engagement, and audience response. No marketing background or design expertise required. If you enjoy creating Instagram content, designing graphics, or simply helping people discover what's happening in the Makerspaces, we'd love to hear from you.
What You’ll Bring: 3–7 hours per week on your own schedule, including one mandatory, one-hour team meeting.
