Muskoka Landing is a fully accredited long term care home in Huntsville, Ontario and serves 94 residents. Huntsville is approximately 124 km north of Barrie and 76 km south of Parry Sound. This beautiful town is known for access to many nature trails, parks and lakes. Thanks to the terrain and climate, outdoor activities in and around Huntsville are available year-round, ranging from hiking, camping, paddling and bicycling in warmer months to skiing, snowshoeing and snowmobiling in winter.
Join our team as a Registered Nurse!
Under the direction of the Director of Care, the Registered Nurse is responsible and accountable for providing and ensuring the provision of optimum care to promote the well-being of each individual resident. The Registered Nurse ensures and provides the delivery of nursing services to meet the assessed needs of the residents.
The key areas of responsibility include: Clinical Practice & Resident Care (assessment, intervention, care coordination, documentation, and wellness), Unit Management & Accountability (operations, team member supervision, resource use), Collaboration & Communication (internal and external coordination, orientation), Quality, Policy, and Education (CQI, risk management, professional development), Team Member Management (evaluation, discipline), Organizational Values & Customer Service, and Health and Safety (safe practices, hazard reporting, OHSA compliance).
We are looking for the following qualifications and traits**:**
- Candidates must possess a current Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario. O. Reg. 246/22, s. 51
- Experience in a Long-Term Care (Gerontology) setting is an asset
- Performs care planning and coordination of care in a diverse multidisciplinary care team
- A demonstrated use of current care technology.
- Shall exhibit strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
- Must demonstrate an active interest in ongoing education, training, and professional
- development
- Must ensure all MOH and MLTC requirements are met.
- Must be computer literate
