At ATB, we exist to make it possible for our clients, team members and communities. Our purpose is more than aspirational. It's a real commitment we live every day through our values (what we call the ATB ID).

Life at ATB is about more than work. In fact, we’re consistently recognized as one of Canada's top employers thanks to our high-care, high-performance culture, upheld by the three commitments we make to our team members:

Impact in action: No matter where you are in the organization, you're empowered to make an impact in the lives of our clients and communities.

Thrive together: We want you—the unique, authentic you—to feel safe and celebrated at work. We're on a continuous journey to build the most flexible and inclusive programs.

Ready for tomorrow: We want to enable your success through interesting and challenging work, performance enablement, and learning and development.

About the role

Please note: This is a temporary 14-month opportunity, with the potential for extension.

This position has a hybrid work arrangement. On average, this means 1 day on-site per week. Please note that this is subject to change due to business priorities.

As ATB’s next Marketing Project Manager, you take pride in being the most organized person in the room and love bringing the pieces of the puzzle together. In this 14-month temporary role within the Culture, Communications & Marketing (CCM) team, you'll aid in the fierce prioritization of work, challenge and remove barriers, and assist the Squad in delivering exceptional work. You'll be the subject matter expert for all project management and workflow tools that support the work and, most importantly, your team.

Accountabilities

  • Work directly with Squad Lead to ensure the Squad backlog is refined and prepared for monthly planning.
  • Review work items to ensure clarity and accuracy, including incoming requests. Advise Squad and Project Leads on recommended assignments, timelines and more.
  • Act as Subject Matter Expert within the Squad for workflow management tools, templates and processes.
  • Proactively identify risks, developing a plan to prevent delays in workflow and output for tasks within your Squad.
  • Ensure the right people are assigned to the right tasks at the right time, including contract resources.
  • Provide feedback on processes for continuous improvement, where applicable.
  • Build relationships with vendors, suppliers and media partners to ensure timely and accurate delivery of creative artifacts required by the Squad.

Skills, experience & requirements

  • You are an organizer extraordinaire! You are highly organized and able to manage a range of different projects with diverse requirements simultaneously and to a high standard.
  • You are able to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
  • You possess above-average diplomacy skills which allow you to act as a facilitator and negotiator between internal and external teams to get the best work done within required timelines.
  • You are able to handle difficult, unexpected or complex business challenges by objectively assessing the situation, identifying and weighing alternative options, and making a data-driven recommendation to solve the problem.
  • You are comfortable with Agile Project Management principles that allow you to track timelines and milestones against a workback schedule or statement of work.
  • You understand creative and production process, and are able to help manage expectations and timelines.

DESIGNATIONS AND TRAINING

  • You have at least two years’ experience in communications, marketing, creative or event project coordination, or a similar field.
  • Preference given to applicants with Project Management or Event Management qualifications and work experience within an Agile environment.
  • You understand Google Workspace and are comfortable learning new software/applications/systems.
  • You have a basic understanding of marketing principles.
  • Experience with Jira is a strong asset.

Don’t meet all the requirements on the list?
A resume only goes so far in expressing who you are and the unique perspectives you bring. If you believe your skills and experience align with the role—but you might not check all the boxes—we want to hear from you. We encourage candidates from all work backgrounds, equity-seeking communities and experience levels to apply. If you’re seeking a career where your drive, perspective and growth are celebrated, we want to hear from you.

We’re dedicated to building a workforce reflective of those within our communities, and a culture where our team members are equipped with what they need to succeed—their way. Part of creating an inclusive workplace is recognizing our role in advancing Truth and Reconciliation. We are committed to meeting and exceeding the standards set out in the Partnership Accreditation in Indigenous Relations program created by the Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business.
