About the role

Job Title: AI Developer (Early Career)

Department: Operations Reports To: Lead AI Developer & Senior Management About the Role Are you graduating (or recently graduated) with a passion for data, technology, and solving real-world business problems? As an AI Developer, you’ll sit at the intersection of applied AI, full-stack development, and data engineering, driving the digital transformation of a traditional business. This is a hands-on, high-impact role designed for early-career talent who want real ownership. You'll collaborate with teams across Operations, Finance, Marketing, Sales, and HR, building AI-powered tools and automations that run day-to-day operations, from intelligent workflows that eliminate manual work to dashboards and insights that senior leaders rely on to make smart, data-driven decisions. What you build won't sit in a backlog: it ships to real users, and you'll own it end to end. If you’re curious, analytical, and excited about using AI to improve how organizations work, this role will accelerate your learning and expose you to executive-level thinking early in your career.

What You’ll Do

Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with teams across the organization to understand their goals, challenges, and data needs. Partner with Operations leadership to support efficiency, performance tracking, and continuous improvement initiatives. Help connect data from multiple systems (e.g., Yardi, Fieldwire, SharePoint, or similar platforms) into cohesive, usable insights. Act as a translator between technical data work and business outcomes—making insights understandable and actionable.

Data, Analytics & AI

Analyze structured and unstructured data to uncover trends, risks, and opportunities. Apply AI and machine learning techniques such as forecasting, predictive analytics, classification, or clustering to support decision-making. Validate data quality and accuracy to ensure leadership can trust the insights they’re seeing.

Dashboards & Visualization

Design and build dashboards that clearly communicate KPIs, performance metrics, and insights. Turn complex analyses into intuitive visuals and executive-friendly summaries. Maintain and improve dashboards to keep information timely, relevant, and aligned with business priorities.

Automation & Process Improvement

Identify opportunities to automate reporting and data workflows. Reduce manual data handling and repetitive tasks using analytics and AI tools. Document processes, data sources, and assumptions to support scalability and transparency.

Executive & Strategic Support

Support senior leaders with data-driven insights, scenario analysis, and forecasts. Prepare concise, executive-ready presentations and summaries. Contribute to strategic planning initiatives by providing analytical perspectives.

What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree (completed or near completion) in Data Science, Analytics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field. Experience building with LLM APIs (Anthropic, OpenAI, or similar): prompt design, structured output, and tool/function calling. Academic or personal projects count if you can walk us through your design decisions. Previous internship or full-time experience in a relevant field (can be substituted with a production-level application or platform created mostly or solely by the applicant).

Working knowledge of Python, SQL, and Typescript

Experience using agentic coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, or similar) as part of a real development workflow, and knowledge of their best practices and failure modes. Strong foundation in system design and thinking, and problem-solving. Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences. Note: This role is open to new graduates and early-career candidates. Relevant internships, co-op placements, academic projects, or capstone work are highly valued.

Nice-to-Have (Not Required)

  • Experience integrating third-party APIs (authentication, pagination, webhooks). Experience working with ERP, project management, or document management systems. Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP). Coursework or projects related to automation, AI-driven analytics, or decision-support systems. Interest in operations, real estate, construction, or asset-intensive industries.

Key Soft Skills & Competencies

Analytical and critical thinking Clear communication and presentation skills Curiosity and eagerness to learn new technologies Strong attention to detail and data accuracy Ability to manage multiple tasks and stakeholders Collaborative, team-oriented mindset How You’ll Be Successful Executive dashboards are actively used and trusted by leadership Insights are accurate, timely, and relevant Manual reporting processes are reduced through automation Business leaders provide positive feedback on clarity and usefulness of insights Data-driven decisions lead to measurable improvements in performance Work Environment Highly collaborative, cross-functional role Direct exposure to senior leadership and strategic decision-making Fast-paced, innovation-focused environment Hybrid, on-site, or remote options (role dependent) Why This Role Is a Great Start to Your Career You’ll gain real-world experience applying AI and analytics to meaningful business challenges, build visibility with senior leaders, and develop skills that set the foundation for a fast-growing career in data, analytics, or AI.
