What you'll do:
- Responsible for ordering and receiving products ensuring the merchandise’s quality and completeness of the order.
- Place merchandise neatly into designated areas, and complete all mandatory documentation.
- Ensure stock is on shelves and displayed, any damaged or dated products are removed, and all goods intended for sale are organized to meet established standards following FIFO and assist the grocery team as required.
- Identify issues and areas for improvement with customer experience within the grocery department.
- Promotes and ensures adherence to brand and merchandising standards, marketing efforts, and image standards.
- Ensures all applicable company policies and procedures are communicated and adhered to and ensures safety and regulatory requirements and procedures are implemented and maintained.
- Applies operational knowledge in key performance areas and works with the Grocery Manager in the allocation of team assignments to achieve objectives.
- Ensures prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service is provided at all times. Maintains high customer service levels to ensure customer satisfaction and identifies areas for improvement. Ensures all customer complaints, adjustments, and returns are handled in a quick and efficient manner. Take corrective action with team members if the established standards are not being met.
- Recruit, train, coach & motivate the department team while fostering a positive work environment that enables the engagement of all team members in the pursuit of desired results.
- Provide leadership to the department, including goal setting, scheduling and assigning work, performance management, training and development of team members
- This role will be primarily responsible for working NIGHT shifts and leading the NIGHT STOCKING team.
- Other duties as assigned.

Who you are:
- 2+ years of relevant retail experience
- 2+ years of relevant customer service experience
- 1+ years of leadership experience
- Grade 12 diploma (additional Business education would be an asset)
- Foodwise certification is required (can train internally if candidate does not already possess)
This role will require the use of various computer software, AI predictive software & phone applications. This role will also require continuous standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 lbs throughout the shift.
