Midland Transportis currently seeking anOS&D Administratorreporting to the Office Manager at theSaint John Terminal. The selected candidate will be a self-starter with a strong work ethic and a “Can Do” attitude.

Investigate and work with internal & external Customers to resolve any OS&D issues
-
Investigate and solve any issues with the freight that has been left to your attention from the previous afternoon/midnights shifts work
-
Complete a dock check for exception freight daily to rectify any exception freight on the dock throughout the day
-
Update the AS400 with the OS&D shipment status
-
Answer and assist other Terminals, the Claims department, and the Head office with OS&D issues
-
Complete and fax several reports concerning OS&D
-
Work with and take part in customer service functions to ensure Terminal Inbound and Outbound service levels are attained
-
Other terminal administrative duties as required.

Minimum 2-3 years Transportation and/or Clerical experience required

OS&D and freight movement experience preferred
-
AS400 experience an asset but not required

Able to work within a fast-paced work environment, and multi-task in order to ensure that the customers, terminal contacts, and US partner's needs are met in a timely fashion
-
Self-starter with the motivation and the ability to investigate and resolve as well as proactively correct recognizing the root cause of each OS&D
Willingness to learn

Communication, Organizational, and Time Management Skills

Familiarity with all Microsoft Office Applications.
