About the Role Are you an experienced accounting professional looking to make an impact in a dynamic, fast-paced environment? We're seeking a Senior Accountant to join our C&I North America division. In this role, you'll partner with the Director of Accounting to ensure the accuracy of financial statements, manage student financial information, and support centralized finance operations across North America.
What You'll Do

Month-End Close & Reporting : Prepare general ledger entries, maintain fixed asset schedules, and assist with monthly financial statements.

Reconciliations : Complete bank and balance sheet account reconciliations.

Cashflow Management : Prepare weekly and extended cashflow forecasts.

Compliance & Audit : Support sales tax, corporate tax filings, annual audits, and statutory filings.

Student Financial Management: Reconcile student receipts, invoicing, and refunds; prepare student stats reporting.

Creditor & Payroll Support: Maintain creditor database, process payments, assist with payroll preparation and employment record filings.

Team Collaboration: Provide support to finance team members and deliver exceptional internal and external customer service.
What We're Looking For

Essential Skills & Experience:
-
Legal right to work in Canada.
-
Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and corporate accounting principles.
-
Strong understanding of accounting principles under both IFRS and US GAAP.
-
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Power Query).
-
Experience with financial systems and ERP software (Oracle preferred).
-
Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
-
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.

Preferred:
-
CPA designation.
-
5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including reconciliations and month-end close.
