What You’ll Be Doing
As an Electrician, you’ll be part of a skilled team responsible for maintaining, repairing, and inspecting electrical systems in commercial buildings to ensure safety, reliability, and efficiency.
Your day-to-day will include:
- Troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems, fixtures, and equipment.
- Performing routine maintenance on lighting, panels, breakers, and emergency systems.
- Completing electrical inspections and ensuring compliance with codes and safety standards.
- Coordinating with other trades and operational teams for seamless service delivery.
- Responding promptly to service calls and electrical-related emergencies.
- Adhere to Edon’s Quality Management System policies as well as OHS legislation and regulation
- Interact and establish good customer relationships with client contacts
What do you need to succeed?
- Alberta Journeyperson Electrician certification (or recognized Red Seal equivalent).
- Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in a commercial or facilities-based electrical role.
- Clean driver’s abstract and valid driver’s license.
- Strong understanding of electrical codes, systems, and safety protocols.
- Proficiency with electrical tools, diagnostic equipment, and systems troubleshooting.
- Solid time management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work safely at heights and in confined spaces, as required.
- Customer-focused attitude with a strong attention to detail.
Assets:
- Experience working in commercial real estate environments.
- Additional training in building automation or energy management systems.
