Expected Compensation: The expected hiring range for this role is $63,200 to $79.000 based on a 35-hour work week. Actual offered salary will depend on the successful candidate’s qualifications and experience, as well as market conditions for the role, and internal equity.

As a Learning & Development Advisor , you will be part of the Business Technology Enablement Office, helping our employees build their skills and knowledge. Your main role is to design and deliver training programs, especially those related to insurance and technology.
You will work closely with our teams to create learning materials in different formats, such as videos, guides, instructor-led and eLearning courses. You will also support key projects like improving the learning programs, training on enterprise software, and onboarding new employees and acquisition offices. In addition, you will lead communications and change management efforts for our employees.

Why We’ll Love You
- Experience working in the P&C insurance industry as an insurance professional
- Experience designing, developing, and delivering learning content in various formats such as webinars and job aids
- Experience using rapid content creation tools such as Articulate Storyline 360, Vyond, and Camtasia
- Experience administering cloud-based learning management systems is an asset
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills
- Strong public speaking, presentation, and facilitation skills in virtual environments
- Experience assessing change impact, developing transformation strategies, gaining leadership alignment, and executing comprehensive change management plans across diverse teams
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with stakeholders
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (CoPilot, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Skilled in using web conferencing tools such as Teams
- Ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities
Once Here, You'll
- Work with subject matter experts to adapt and localize best in class learning resources for our employees, including continuing education accredited courses, virtual instructor-led training, eLearning modules, and role-specific learning paths
- Facilitate interactive learning sessions virtually and occasionally in person
- Conduct needs assessments to identify training requirements across teams
- Keep marketing and learning materials up to date, including job aids, SharePoint pages, and eLearning courses, based on system or product changes
- Become a subject matter expert on the broker management system
- Test all eLearning courses before publishing to ensure a smooth user experience
- Build and maintain strong relationships with managers, leaders, and external partners
- Help measure training effectiveness, manage feedback, and recommend improvements
- Advise learners and business teams on development options when needed
- Support video content creation and editing
- Stay informed about changes in the insurance industry, Westland’s products, and adult learning best practices
