Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work setting: Restaurant. Tasks: Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls and sweet goods, batters for muffins, cookies and cakes and icings and frostings according to recipes or special customer orders. Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies. Bake mixed dough and batters. Prepare special orders. Inspect kitchen and food service areas. Operate machinery. Organize and maintain inventory. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Baker Trade Certification. Food specialties: Breads and rolls. Donuts and muffins. Transportation/travel information: Public transportation is available. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail. Fast-paced environment. Handling heavy loads. Repetitive tasks. Supports newcomers and/or refugees with foreign credential recognition. Provides diversity and cross-cultural trainings to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and/or refugees . Support for youths: Offers on-the-job training tailored to youth. Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth. Support for Indigenous people: Provides cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers . Supports for visible minorities: Offers mentorship programs that pair members of visible minorities with experienced employees.
