About the role
Title: Project Controls Coordinator III Location: Flexible (Edmonton or Calgary) Duration: 12 months
Role Overview Scope: Cradle‑to‑grave project controls for capital projects (AFE development → execution → closeout) Focus: Cost management, forecasting, reporting, schedule oversight (secondary), change management Highly collaborative role; resource for assigned portfolio.
Key Requirements 3–10 years (ideal range 7–10; minimum 3 acceptable) Tools Required: Oracle, Ecosys Nice to have: SAP, Power BI, Power Pivot, others Power BI = analyzing dashboards, not building Stronger emphasis on cost control & forecasting; scheduling less critical (dedicated schedulers exist) Oil & gas experience preferred (not mandatory, but elevates candidates) Travel: Minimal; occasional field visit (~once/year)
Desired Qualities Strong analytical skills + stakeholder engagement Ability to challenge assumptions, manage ambiguity, and be detail‑oriented Highly organized, adaptable, proactive (vs. reactive) Comfortable engaging multiple stakeholder groups
