The Senior Manager, Global Payroll and Time Strategy is responsible for driving the implementation of global payroll and time standards through continuous improvement and process excellence. This role leads the execution of global strategic initiatives, including mergers and acquisitions. The Senior Manager works closely with the Global Payroll and Time Standards Office, Regional/Country Payroll Operations, Global HR Operations, Total Reward COE, and other business areas to create future processes, document project-related tasks, and manage all requirements. Additionally, this role fosters a culture of continuous improvement within the team, supports professional development, and champions a high-performance environment.

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

  • Be accountable for delivery of payroll/time strategic initiatives and special projects, including M&As (Mergers and Acquisitions)
  • Support the implementation of global payroll/time governance and operating model
  • Create global standards for policies & processes that must be adhered to by all countries (e.g., global inventory of pay codes); establish framework for payroll/time process excellence globally
  • Define HR/Pay common data definitions and data governance framework
  • Define and deliver metrics and KPIs as well as dashboards/reports that should be communicated to various stakeholders regionally/globally. Provide insights to leadership and recommendations
  • Create global framework for Communities of Practice to be designed and deployed at a regional level
  • Work with regions/countries to define, socialize, embed, and continuously refine standards and processes
  • Maintain global payroll knowledge base and develop a payroll data retention strategy in alignment with Company standards
  • Develop a standard methodology for risk mitigation in payroll and time systems
  • Establish programs designed to recognize payroll staff across the organization
  • Conduct scans of capability and identifies areas of continuous improvement across countries; supports their efforts in executing recommendations
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and process excellence within the GPTSO team, encouraging and supporting team members in their professional development and growth
  • Lead the project execution of global expansion initiatives (Global HR Transformation), collaborating with regional stakeholders to ensure global payroll standards, controls and compliance
  • Act as a subject matter expert on all aspects of global payroll/time projects, resolves escalated or high risk issues or concerns as required

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed? We’d love to work with you if you have:


  • Post-secondary Degree in Accounting or Business or related field
  • PCP or CPM designation preferred
  • SAP HCM certification preferred
  • Fluent oral and written English and Spanish required
  • Significant experience in payroll and time or related field
  • Previous technical and operating experience with SAP and, WFS and Success Factors preferred
  • Deep understanding and knowledge of Bank policies and procedures
  • Strong knowledge of Organizational structure and complexity
  • Deep knowledge of payroll policies and related practices
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Attentive to details and deadlines; ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Proven supervisory/leadership experience
  • Strong analytical skills
