The Opportunity

Our client, Canadian organization with operations across multiple business units, is seeking a Director, Talent Acquisition to lead and evolve its enterprise recruitment function. This is a strategic leadership opportunity responsible for developing national talent acquisition strategies, building high-performing recruitment teams, strengthening employer branding, and partnering with senior business leaders to attract top talent across a diverse portfolio of professional, technical, and leadership roles. The successful candidate will combine strategic vision with operational excellence, driving recruitment performance, workforce planning, and continuous improvement while delivering an exceptional candidate and hiring manager experience.

What You'll Be Doing

Develop and execute an enterprise-wide talent acquisition strategy aligned with business growth objectives. Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Talent Acquisition professionals across multiple business units. Partner with executive leadership to understand workforce planning needs and proactively build talent pipelines. Establish recruitment metrics, dashboards, and KPIs to drive data-informed hiring decisions and continuous improvement. Optimize recruitment processes, technology, and candidate experience to improve hiring efficiency and quality. Build and strengthen employer branding initiatives to position the organization as an employer of choice. Develop sourcing strategies for executive, professional, technical, skilled trades, and high-volume recruitment. Partner closely with HR Business Partners and business leaders on succession planning and long-term talent strategies. Manage relationships with external recruitment partners, agencies, and talent vendors where appropriate. Ensure recruitment practices comply with employment legislation, diversity and inclusion objectives, and internal governance standards. Identify opportunities to leverage recruitment technology, AI, automation, and market intelligence to improve hiring outcomes. Monitor labour market trends and provide strategic recommendations to support future workforce needs.

What You'll Need to Be Successful

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. 5+ years of progressive Talent Acquisition experience, including leadership of recruitment teams. Demonstrated success developing enterprise recruitment strategies within a complex, multi-site organization. Experience partnering with executive leaders on workforce planning and organizational growth initiatives. Strong understanding of recruitment technology, ATS platforms, recruitment analytics, and talent market intelligence. Proven ability to lead change, improve recruitment processes, and implement best practices. Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills. Experience recruiting across a variety of functions including corporate, operations, technical, and leadership roles. Passion for building inclusive hiring practices and delivering an exceptional candidate experience.

Compensation Range: $130,000 - $150,000
