To determine final salary, Babcock considers a variety of factors including the successful Candidate’s skills and experience and internal equity. The final base salary offer is at the Company’s sole discretion and presented as part of a competitive total compensation package.

In this role, you will:

Supervise Aircraft Maintenance Engineers (AMEs) and Apprentices.

Lead a team working on CL Water Bomber Aircraft and Commander 690 Aircraft as well as other aircraft as needed
-
Maintain, adjust, modify, test, diagnose, and repair an aircraft’s mechanical or structural systems.
-
Work with specialized aviation and power tools, computers and diagnostic equipment.
-
Conduct scheduled maintenance tasks.
-
Keep timely and accurate records of the repair and maintenance activities that were conducted.
-
Carefully observe all procedures, rules and regulations when performing any task.
-
Be thoroughly familiar with, and use, safety procedures and safe work practices.
-
Use the appropriate PPE for tasks/jobs.
-
Maintain a clean and productive work area.
-
Work efficiently alone and as part of a team.

Read, understand, and adhere to the:

Utilize the Company reporting system to report any hazard, incident or accident.

Normal work schedule is
-
Oct 1 to April 1 is Monday to Friday dayshift 40 hours per week. With potential for overtime.

April 1 to Oct 1 is 2 weeks away from base 2 weeks off.

The schedule does vary slightly depending on operational requirements.

Other duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate brings:
- Must hold a valid M1 and/or M2 AME license
- Experience with CL-215/CL-415 aircraft is an asset
- Experience with Garrett Turbine powered aircraft is an asset
- Have demonstrated experience working in WinAir or other similar maintenance programs
- Have good organizational skills
- Are proficient in English, written and spoken
- Have the physical ability to sit or crouch for extended periods
- Have the physical ability to walk and/or stand for extended periods
- Have physical dexterity to allow working in confined spaces
- The ability and willingness to work shift work.
- Have ability to work at heights
- You are eligible for an Airport Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC) and ITAR Clearance
- Have or can obtain a Canadian passport
- Hold a valid drivers license
