Job Description & Requirements
Location: Maryland Park School
Purpose of Position
The Head Custodian is responsible for overseeing and providing cleaning and maintenance services to Brandon School Division facilities.
Duties and Responsibilities
Are established by the Supervisor of Custodial Services within the parameters of the job profile.
Required Qualifications
- Requires demonstrated specific knowledge including the ability to maintain clean and sanitary facilities through the use of cleaning skills and tools.
- Class 5 Driver's License.
- WHMIS training/certification.
- Demonstrated basic knowledge of carpentry, mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.
- Effective basic computer skills.
- Effective basic reading, writing and mathematical skills.
- Effective moderate interpersonal and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Commercial cleaning skills.
- First Aid, CPR Certification.
- Knowledge of Workplace Safety and Health regulations.
- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention.
Your cover letter must clearly indicate how you meet the required qualifications.
Permanent CUPE employees presently on staff will be given early consideration, in accordance with COLLECTIVE AGREEMENT.
