Role Overview
We are seeking a technically skilled Microsoft Purview Consultant to support the design, deployment, and optimisation of Purview solutions across enterprise environments. This role will contribute to architecting secure, scalable, and compliant data governance solutions using both GA and private preview features of Microsoft Purview. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on technical expertise and a solid understanding of data governance frameworks, working collaboratively within project teams to deliver client solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Architecture & Deployment

Assist in designing and implementing Purview infrastructure, including networking, security, and integration with Azure-native services.

Support configuration of private and public endpoints, firewalls, and role-based access controls (RBAC) in line with Microsoft best practices.

Contribute to the deployment of GA and private preview features such as data lineage, business glossary, bulk API tagging, and advanced metadata classification. Governance & Delivery

Support the implementation of enterprise-wide data governance frameworks aligned with DAMA-DMBOK, EDM Council CDMC, and DCAM standards.

Collaborate with stakeholders to curate business metadata, develop glossaries, and enforce data stewardship policies.

Assist in the adoption of governance tools and methodologies across business domains and technical teams. Consulting & Enablement

Provide technical support and subject matter expertise to clients and internal teams on Purview configuration and data governance best practices.

Participate in workshops, demos, and roadshows to showcase Purview capabilities and onboard data assets.

- Contribute to team knowledge sharing and upskilling on Purview technical configurations. Required Qualifications- Experience supporting the deployment and configuration of Microsoft Purview in enterprise environments.

Strong understanding of Azure infrastructure, networking, and security principles.

Hands-on experience with metadata ingestion, data quality integration, and Purview role mapping.

Familiarity with regulatory frameworks (e.g., NIST, HIPAA, CMMC) and compliance tooling.

Good communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

English is required for this position as this role will regularly interact with stakeholders across Canada, US and other countries across our Global footprint where English is the common language. Due to the significant high volume of interactions with these English-speaking stakeholders, which is inherent to this position, it is not possible to reorganize the company's activities to avoid this requirement. Preferred Experience- Experience in data governance and data management project delivery.

Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams including IT, business SMEs, and cloud security.

Knowledge of Apache Atlas, Python, Databricks, and Azure DevOps pipelines for metadata automation. Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation, based on full-time employment, for roles that may be hired as set forth below.
