We are seeking a skilled Mine Performance Analyst who will play a crucial role in our mission to deliver industry-leading performance in safety, operational excellence, and reliability within our mining operations. Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, a related technical discipline, or equivalent work experience

Minimum 5 years experience in mine operations and supporting mining operations, preferably within open-pit mining
-
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on diagnostic and location-based analytics
-
Expertise in working with databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL), data warehouses (Synapse SQL pool, Snowflake), and data lakes (Parquet, Delta-parquet in ADLS v2 storage)

Experience with geospatial technology (Esri ArcGIS, Safe FME).

Excellent collaboration and communication skills

Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
Responsibilities:

Conduct in-depth data analysis to identify trends and opportunities, presenting findings to stakeholders in a clear and engaging manner

Develop and maintain high-quality analytics products, providing stakeholders with near real-time access to critical information for data-informed decision-making
-
Develop and maintain knowledge base to support the implementation of mining technologies
-
Foster a culture that promotes the use of data in the day-to-day decision-making process
-
Engage with key stakeholders across the organization to help uncover opportunities and use your data analytics skills to uncover actionable insights
-
Stay up to date on evolving data analysis techniques and best practices, incorporating them into the development process to continuously improve analytical capabilities
Location and other Key Details:

This is an office-based role. You will work out of our Calgary head office or our Base Plant Mine in Fort McMurray, Alberta

Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday, with the potential for extended work hours based on business needs

Our engineering roles follow internal compensation guidelines, and the pay band will generally be based years of experience and scope of work
