Senior Electrical Designer
About the role
Agilus is recruiting for an Senior Electrical Designer in the Engineering Consultancy Industry in Windsor, Ontario. The Senior Electrical Designer plays a key role in developing electrical layouts and schematics for a variety of projects, including industrial, commercial, and institutional facilities.
A Typical Day
- Develop electrical schematics and layouts (SLD, lighting, power distribution, etc.)
- Prepare technical reports (Ex. power studies, ArcFlash) for review.
- Conduct field checks for data gathering and verification.
- Support construction administration and system commissioning.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project goals.
- Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with industry standards,
- Contribute to continuous improvement and team success.
Successful Candidates Will Have
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or technologist diploma (electrical focus).
- Minimum 10 years of experience in an engineering environment.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office Suite. AGI32, SKM, and BIM 360 are assets.
- Familiarity with CEC, OESC, ESA, CSA standards.
- Ability to perform fieldwork independently in various environments.
- Strong communication, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Valid Canadian driver's license and ability to obtain U.S. work permit.
