Snapshot of Your Day: Trench Limited is looking for a Production Planner/Scheduler to join the Scheduling team. The Production Planner/Scheduler will be the orchestrator of our production flow—ensuring that every project is planned, reviewed and scheduled smoothly from planning to delivery. You’ll coordinate across departments to optimize schedules, minimize delays, and meet customer expectations
Your Tasks: Planning & Scheduling
- Develop, review, and maintain production schedules aligned with customer orders and factory capacity
- Analyze material availability, load vs. capacity, and delivery timelines to ensure realistic and efficient plans
- Support the Master Production Schedule (MPS) by integrating customer demand, inventory levels, and work orders
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with production, procurement, engineering, sales, and quality teams to align schedules and resolve conflicts
- Participate in daily production meetings to provide updates, flag issues, and adjust plans as needed
- Coordinate with Sales to reserve production slots for urgent or high-priority projects
Optimization & Risk Management
- Monitor output reports to ensure schedule integrity and identify risks to delivery timelines
- Implement corrective actions to mitigate delays and maintain customer satisfaction
- Manage constraints such as machine capacity, labor availability, and maintenance windows
System & Process Management
- Maintain scheduling system parameters including setup times, queue times, and production sequences
- Collaborate with Purchasing and Materials teams to address late demand and supply chain challenges
- Train backup schedulers/planners as requested, and all other duties assigned
Requirements:
- Education: Degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, or a related field
- Experience: Minimum 3+ years of experience in production planning or project management, preferably in industrial or utility sectors
- Proficiency in ERP systems and constraint-based planning tools (MRP/MPS)
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on optimization and efficiency
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and solid knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Proven analytical mindset coupled with a strong business focus directed toward a commitment to optimization and efficiency.
- A self-starter with outstanding organizational and management skills and ability to work independently while managing and prioritizing multiple tasks in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrates the willingness to accept responsibility and accountability.
We offer: In accordance with the Pay Transparency Act, we are committed to providing clear and accessible information about compensation for this role. The expected compensation range for this position is $60,000 – $100,000 / Annually. Actual compensation within this range will be determined based on several job-related factors, including relevant education, depth and breadth of experience, professional certifications or license, specialized skills aligned with the role, and internal equity considerations. This role offers a comprehensive total rewards package, including paid vacation, group health benefits, pension plan, bonus, and additional employee programs.
