Unlike many fleet environments where you'll see the same equipment every day, you'll gain experience working on a wide variety of heavy truck makes and models, trailers, and specialized logging and mining equipment. Paid Well Starting Journeyman Wage: $43.45 per hour You'll also receive: Premiums for applicable licenses, certifications, and shift differentials Comprehensive health, dental, vision, life insurance, and Employee & Family Assistance Program (EFAP) Boot & Tool allowance PPE provided What You'll Do As a Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic, you'll diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and commercial equipment while delivering safe, high-quality repairs that keep our customers on the road. You'll: Diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and commercial equipment Perform preventative maintenance and inspections Complete Commercial Vehicle Inspections (CVIP) when licensed Diagnose and repair Detroit Diesel, Cummins, and other heavy-duty diesel engines Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, suspension, steering, brake, and air systems Complete repairs that meet manufacturer and safety standards Maintain accurate repair documentation What You'll Bring Journeyman Red Seal Heavy Equipment Technician certification Experience repairing commercial trucks Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills Commitment to quality workmanship and safety Ability to work independently and as part of a team Assets CVIP Licence Class 1 or Class 3 Driver's Licence Experience with Detroit Diesel and/or Cummins engines Why You'll Succeed Problem Solver You enjoy diagnosing complex issues and take pride in finding the right solution.
