Who you are
- 3+ year of engineering management experience
- 5+ years software engineering experience
- Proficiency with Python, JavaScript, Vue, Django or similar languages and frameworks
- Experience with observability platforms (e.g., Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana)
- Experience with AI tools and technologies (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude)
- Familiarity with database and search engine technologies (e.g., MySQL, Clickhouse, ElasticSearch)
- Strong skills in communication, adaptability, cross-functional collaboration, and strategic thinking
What the job involves
- We’re looking for a collaborative and experienced Engineering Manager, Relationships to join our team and help us develop best-in-class features and tools for our customers
- As our Engineering Manager, Relationships, you will lead a team of engineers that develop the Muck Rack application across the whole tech stack, and are responsible for all the features and tools that are part of the Relationships domain of the application

- Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of software engineers, fostering a culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement
- Own the technical strategy around key features and tools, and lead execution at a high level
- Work closely with product and design partners to plan and commit to feature scopes, timelines, and overall road maps
- Collaborate with other engineering teams to manage dependencies and other cross-functional projects
- Incorporate emerging AI technologies within feature development and internal engineering experience and processes
- How success will be measured in this role:
- Project-Level Outcomes: Successful execution and delivery of projects or initiatives that support company level objectives
- Team Growth and Health: Successfully hiring, developing, and retaining top engineering talent, as measured by team engagement and performance
- Engineering and Company OKRs: Successfully contributing to the definition of and delivery of both company level and engineering level goals and objectives
