Position Overview
We’re seeking a skilled QA Test Analyst to support both Agile QA activities and test automation with a strong focus on native mobile applications for iOS and Android. This role combines functional testing with automation development in a collaborative Agile environment. You’ll contribute to sprint planning, test design, defect triage, and the evolution of our mobile and automation strategy.
Position Accountabilities
- Executes functional, regression, compatibility, performance, security and accessibility testing with emphasis on mobile applications.
- Troubleshot defects effectively across manual and automated contexts.
- Defines acceptance criteria and ensures adequate test coverage with product and development teams.
- Supports and enhances automated tests for mobile layers where required.
- Validates app behaviour on physical devices and emulators.
- Collaborates seamlessly with developers, product owners and QA peers.
- Communicates clearly and contributes to continuous improvement.
- Participates in Agile ceremonies and ensures quality is part of the definition of done.
- Shares best practices, mentors peers, and promotes modern testing approaches (including AI-driven tools).
Skills & Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of experience in software testing, with a balance of manual and automated QA.
- Hands-on experience testing React Native mobile applications.
Technical Proficiency
- Strong experience planning and executing various types of tests (functional, regression, compatibility, localization, etc.) for React Native and native apps.
- Skilled in defect reporting, root cause analysis, and producing clear, reproducible test documentation.
- Experience in API testing (REST, Postman) and SQL-based backend validation.
- Knowledge of accessibility and security testing principles for mobile apps.
- Exposure to mobile and cross-platform testing tools like BrowserStack, LambdaTest, Firebase Test Lab, AWS Device Farm or JMeter.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted testing tools (Copilot, ChatGPT).
- Experience with debugging and monitoring tools such as Xcode, Android Studio, Logcat and Charles Proxy.
- Experience with automation tools such as Appium, Detox, Playwright, Selenium, C#, JavaScript and familiarity with Git/GitHub, YAML pipelines and CI/CD integration.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proactive, adaptable and collaborative in Agile environments.
Communication
- Bilingualism in English and French is an asset.
