Senior Product Manager, AI Digital Health Platform

Toronto, Ontario, Canada
Senior Level
Full-Time

About the role

At Loblaw Digital, we know that our customers expect the best from us. Whether that means building the best, most innovative online shopping experience, or designing an app that will impact the lives of people across the country, we’re up for the challenge. From our office in Downtown Toronto, we’ve created leading eCommerce experiences in the online grocery shopping, beauty, pharmacy, and apparel spaces, and we’re only just getting started. Why is this role important? Digital health is creating new opportunities to help people understand their healthcare options, access services, and navigate complex care journeys. Realizing that opportunity requires more than launching individual digital experiences. It requires a trusted platform that can support multiple clients and healthcare use cases while maintaining consistent standards for quality, safety, privacy, and user experience. By creating reusable capabilities, strong product standards, and a clear platform strategy, you will help Loblaw and its partners scale digital health solutions that are more accessible, consistent, and responsive to the needs of Canadians.

The Impact You'll Make

In this role, you will shape the foundation behind a growing portfolio of digital health experiences. Your work will determine how quickly new capabilities can be launched, how effectively client needs can be supported, and how responsibly AI can be applied in a healthcare environment. The Senior Product Manager will define, build, and scale an AI-enabled digital health platform that powers health experiences across multiple clients, brands, and care partners. This is a senior individual-contributor role with responsibility for the vision, strategy, roadmap, and performance of a shared platform. You will balance the needs of other teams with the long-term development of reusable, configurable capabilities that can support a growing portfolio of healthcare use cases. You will operate at the intersection of healthcare, artificial intelligence, technology, clinical governance, privacy, and consumer experience. Working closely with engineering, data science, design, clinical, operations, and client teams, you will help create trusted digital experiences that support health education, care navigation, patient engagement, service discovery, and appropriate connection to human support or care. The successful candidate will be comfortable setting direction in an emerging product space, making decisions with incomplete information, and establishing the product practices, safeguards, and measurement frameworks required to scale AI responsibly in healthcare.

What You'll Do

Platform Strategy and Product Leadership Define and communicate a multi-year vision and product strategy for an AI-enabled digital health platform serving multiple clients and healthcare use cases. Own the platform roadmap across shared capabilities, client requirements, foundational technology, integrations, data and ongoing product innovation. Identify which capabilities should be standardized across the platform and where client-specific configuration or customization is appropriate. Maintain a strong understanding of the external digital health and AI landscape, identifying developments that may create opportunities or risks for the platform. Clearly communicate product direction, decisions, dependencies and trade-offs to senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders.

AI Product Development and Responsible Innovation

Define how AI capabilities will be used to improve digital health experiences while maintaining appropriate standards for safety, privacy, transparency, and human oversight. Develop clear evaluation frameworks for experience quality, accuracy, relevance, reliability, safety, and user trust. Partner with engineering, data science, clinical, legal, privacy, security, and risk teams to establish product requirements and safeguards for AI-enabled functionality. Ensure that product requirements account for appropriate escalation, exception handling, human intervention and support pathways.

Multi-Client Platform and Ecosystem Enablement

Build a deep understanding of the needs, operating models, users and strategic priorities of the clients and partners supported by the platform. Develop reusable platform capabilities that allow new client experiences and healthcare use cases to be launched efficiently. Define product requirements for areas such as safety, scalability, data management, analytics and operational controls.

Product Delivery and Operating Model

Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle, from opportunity identification and discovery through delivery, launch, measurement and continuous improvement. Translate strategic priorities into clear roadmaps, product requirements, experience principles, success measures and delivery plans. Maintain a well-structured and prioritized product backlog that reflects platform strategy, client commitments, technical health, risk and user value. Partner closely with engineering and design leaders to shape solution approaches and deliver high-quality outcomes.

What You Bring

Experience: 5+ years of product management experience, including ownership of complex digital products or platforms from strategy through launch and scale. Candidates with platform product management and AI experience are preferred. Domain Knowledge: Experience in healthcare, digital health, pharmacy, insurance, or another highly regulated environment is strongly preferred. Data-Driven Mindset: Comfortable defining product metrics, using qualitative and quantitative insights, and applying evidence to guide product direction. Cross-Functional Leadership: Proven ability to influence and align engineering, design, data science, clinical, operations, privacy, legal and client stakeholders without relying on formal authority. Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly present product strategy, recommendations, risks and trade-offs to teams and senior leaders.
