District Office Leadership Assistant - Permanent full-time, 40 hours weekly in Peterborough, ON. Monday to Friday in a standard office environment, with the occasional weekend/evening. Occasional travel within Peterborough, Kawartha Lakes, Cobourg, Port Hope, and the Durham Region.
Full G license with personal automobile insurance required. The pay range for this position is $ 26.64 - $ 31.54.

District Office Leadership Assistant
The District Office Leadership Assistant works closely with the Executive Director. This role is responsible for the coordination of varied administrative functions related primarily to providing administrative, organizational, and networking support to the Executive Director.
The District Office Leadership Assistant will respect and uphold the Values, Vision, and Mission of Karis Disability Services, demonstrating the highest standards of courtesy and respect in their dealings with other employees, persons supported, and both internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements:
- 3 years of previous work experience in a managerial or administrative role preferably in the Developmental Services field
- College Diploma in Business Administration or Social Services
- Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Police Check
- Access to reliable transportation
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills with specialized analytical, research, report writing, and presentation (e.g., charts and graphs) skills.
- Strong organizational, time management, problem solving and interpersonal skills.
- Solid computer skills including confidence in using MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), databases, and email/internet.
- Knowledge of direct services/operations department policies and procedures.
Required duties include, but are not limited to:
- Complete assigned projects, such as quality enhancement and communication regarding service issues to the District, and other related duties as assigned by the Executive Director.
- Ensure effective time management of the Executive Director’s time through scheduling and planning.
- Prioritize phone calls, emails, and requests for meetings.
- Prepare memos, presentations, and messages on behalf of the Executive Director.
- Research, summarize, and organize communication/data/and information as requested by the Executive Director.
- Keep the Executive Director prepared for upcoming meetings and deadlines and follow up on action items.
- Prepare agendas, meeting packages, and meeting minutes for committees and working groups as assigned, including scheduling and providing preparation items for District Office Support meetings with the Executive Director.
- Support coordination of Onward lead work of the Executive Director.
- Maintain confidential information and handle sensitive issues with discretion.
- Provide administrative support to the District Leadership Team, other District Office departments, site locations, and working groups, as requested by the Executive Director.
- Assist in monitoring and tracking expenditures through management and monthly reconciliation of the district purchase card.
