About the role
Company Description
FLINT is a leading service provider in Canada’s energy and industrial markets offering full asset life cycle support, including construction, maintenance, fabrication, and environmental services. Committed to safety and quality, we foster a workplace culture that values innovation and sustainability. With a strong local presence and top-tier talent, we deliver high-quality services as we help our customers bring their resources to our world.
This role can be located anywhere in Ontario.
Job Description
FLINT is expanding its Demolition, Decommissioning, and Abandonment (DDA) services in Ontario. We are seeking an experienced technical and operational leader to drive market growth, build and mentor a high-performing DDA team, and deliver complex demolition, dismantlement and decommissioning projects safely and efficiently.
As a DDA Project Manager, you will develop client relationships, support business expansion, and identify new opportunities across industrial, energy, and municipal markets. As opportunities progress to active projects, you will lead execution—managing scope, safety, budget, and schedule while coordinating field operations, subcontractors, and regulatory requirements.
This role is ideal for a demolition/decommissioning professional ready to advance their career by leading teams, executing multifaceted projects, and helping position FLINT as a leader in DDA services across Ontario.
What would you be doing?
- Drive Business Development: Identify and pursue new DDA opportunities in Ontario’s industrial and energy sectors while representing FLINT at industry events and stakeholder meetings.
- Client & Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong client relationships, act as the primary contact, and liaise with regulatory bodies, municipalities, and permitting authorities.
- Project Leadership & Execution: Lead demolition, decommissioning, and abandonment projects from planning through closeout, including site assessments, dismantling plans, hazardous materials handling, and waste management strategies.
- Operational & Commercial Support: Develop proposals, bid packages, work plans, and execution strategies; manage subcontractor tendering, resource planning, budgets, and schedules in compliance with Ontario safety and environmental regulations.
- Team Development & Safety Culture: Collaborate with internal teams for risk management and project planning, mentor junior staff, and foster a culture of safety, performance, and collaboration.
Perks of the job
- Strengthen your leadership and communication skills while working across multiple disciplines—from Executives to field crews.
- Diverse and dynamic project work that builds a broad skillset.
- Career development opportunities within a growing and expanding service line.
Qualifications
- Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; professional designations or equivalent experience considered an asset.
- 8+ years in demolition, decommissioning, abandonment, or industrial construction with proven project leadership.
- Strong understanding of Ontario demolition codes, hazardous materials regulations, and industrial decommissioning standards.
- Track record in business development, client relationship management, financial oversight, and safe, efficient project delivery.
- Proficient in MS Office and project management tools; willing to travel within Ontario (25–30%).
Additional Information
Offers of employment are conditional on the successful outcome of a criminal background check and employment verification.
