Job Description
As aStorage Architectat Ubisoft Montréal, you will design and guide storage solutions that align with our technology strategy and business needs. You will support engineering teams by providing clear technical direction, scalable architectures, and thoughtful recommendations across on‑premises and cloud environments. TheStorage Architectplays a key role in shaping long‑term infrastructure decisions and enabling reliable, secure platforms.
What you’ll do
- Definelong-term storage strategiesaligned with organizational goals and industry best practices
- Research emerging technologies, runproofs of concept, and share clear recommendations
- Design and maintainstorage architecturesfor data centers and cloud environments
- Producetechnical documentation, architecture diagrams, presentations, and prototypes
- Translatecomplex technical conceptsinto clear messages for non‑technical stakeholders
- Guide and supportengineering teamsthrough design reviews and implementation choices
- Promotecontinuous improvementand knowledge sharing across infrastructure teams
- Ensure solutions meetperformance, scalability, and reliabilityexpectations
Qualifications
What you bring to the team
- Strong knowledge ofsoftware-defined storage technologiessuch as NFS, SMB, S3, Ceph, and similar systems
- Proven ability to designcomplex storage architecturesacross on‑premises and cloud platforms
- Solid understanding ofdata protection and disaster recovery, including backup and replication strategies
- Experience withinfrastructure as codeand automation tools like Git, Ansible, Chef, or equivalents
- Good grasp ofstorage security best practices, including encryption and access controls
- Clear and collaborativecommunication skillswith technical and non‑technical partners
- Ability to work closely withinfrastructure, application, and security teams
- A learning mindset and interest inevolving storage technologies
