About the role
This role is responsible for a variety of marketing activities, with primary focus on product commercialization, coordinating package design projects, working with designated databases and systems, generating monthly reporting, pricing and performance analysis. Additionally, this role will be assisting with the daily operation of the category marketing team.
Duties And Responsibilities:
- Manages the commercialization process of new and/or reformulated items, inclusive of formula approvals, packaging changes, production scheduling and margin management.
- Coordinate and complete package design update projects and customer portals and forms.
- Conducts cross-system data audits ensuring data consistency and linkage to GDSN/ GS1 and PLM specifications to maintain customer compliance.
- Use insights to provide recommendations relative to integrated marketing plans, innovation, activation and key market support.
- Assist with the management of external agency partners in the development and execution of digital/media communication and advertising strategies.
- Integral in providing support to pricing and contract management through pricing renewal and cost analysis support.
- Coordinate internal system changes needed during sales region/broker changes, maintains terms and brokerage levels for all products within designated product category.
- Manage/assist with product spec sheets and promotional elements such as POS materials, coupons, shippers, etc.
- Manages the processing of all vendor invoices related marketing data governance.
- Provide administrative and logistical support to the Category Marketing Manager and the Marketing team.
Education/Certifications: Minimum Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree – Business or Marketing concentration preferred
- Valid Driver’s License
Experience:
- 1 - 3 years of experience in a Marketing position, preferably in the food manufacturing industry
- Strong knowledge of marketing principles, strategies, and techniques.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Creative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast paced, matrix environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities:
- Proficient to advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Power Point and Excel.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks, often with competing deadlines.
- Familiarity/knowledge of SAP systems (or similar) and project management a plus.
- Communicates effectively with strong verbal and written skills.
- Ability to work with multiple departments including but not limited to Sales, Cost Accounting, Operations, Purchasing, R & D, Quality Assurance, and Information Services.
- Must be able to develop interdepartmental relationships and persuade functional departments to take action without authority over these groups.
- Quick learner and self-starter with a hands-on, can-do attitude.

Working Conditions And Physical Effort:
- Office environment
- Light physical effort. Requires standing, sitting, walking, talking, seeing, hearing, fine dexterity, and handling of average-weight objects up to 50 pounds.
- Minimal travel required (off-site meetings, select customer events, and trade shows)

$61,352.00 - $106,444.00
