Are you a parts professional who enjoys a fast-paced environment and takes pride in providing exceptional customer service? We are looking for a Parts Technician to join our team in Tumbler Ridge, BC. In this role, you will support customers, technicians, and operations teams by ensuring the right parts are available when needed, helping keep equipment operating safely and efficiently.
This position offers the opportunity to work with a highly respected industry leader while maintaining a great work-life balance through a 14x14 rotational schedule. Please note: Candidate selection will be conducted in accordance with the terms of the applicable Collective Agreement.
Job Description
What You'll Do As a Parts Technician, your responsibilities will include: Assisting customers and internal teams with parts inquiries and sales Providing front-counter and shop parts support Processing customer orders, returns, credits, and core inspections Sourcing and ordering new and used parts Maintaining inventory accuracy and inventory control processes Picking, packing, labeling, and preparing parts orders for shipment Receiving, sorting, and stocking incoming inventory Building and maintaining strong customer relationships Managing backordered parts and communicating updates to stakeholders Procuring both OEM and non-OEM parts as required Supporting special projects and continuous improvement initiatives Participating in customer service and quality programs Assisting with warehouse operations as needed Building hydraulic hoses and supporting related parts activities What We're Looking For Journeyperson Parts Technician certification (preferred) Experience in a parts, warehouse, customer service, retail parts, industrial parts, or front-counter environment Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities A positive attitude and commitment to customer service excellence Ability to work independently and as part of a team Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment Strong computer skills and experience using inventory or business systems Ability to handle challenging situations in a professional manner Assets That Will Help You Succeed Experience working with heavy equipment, mining equipment, construction equipment, or industrial products Knowledge of Caterpillar equipment and components Previous shop parts or warehousing experience Experience working in mining, construction, heavy equipment, or industrial environments Familiarity with inventory management, ERP, or parts management software Why Join Us?
