Job Overview
We are seeking a Business Development Lead to drive business expansion efforts and develop strategic client relationships within the commercial real estate industry. In this role, you will identify new business opportunities, cultivate long-term partnerships, and contribute to the organization's continued growth by expanding its property management and real estate services portfolio. Working closely with senior leadership and operational teams, you will play a key role in developing market strategies, securing new clients, and strengthening the company's presence across Calgary and the surrounding areas.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement strategic business development plans to support revenue growth and market expansion. Identify and pursue new opportunities within the commercial real estate sector, including property owners, investors, developers, and corporate clients. Build, manage, and strengthen long-term relationships with key stakeholders and industry partners. Lead client meetings, presentations, proposal development, and contract negotiations. Manage the complete business development lifecycle, from prospecting and relationship building through contract execution and client onboarding. Work closely with internal operations and leadership teams to ensure a seamless transition for new clients. Represent the organization at industry conferences, networking events, and community engagement activities. Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities to support strategic growth initiatives.
QualificationsWhat We're Looking For
Proven experience in business development, strategic sales, commercial real estate, brokerage, leasing, or a related client-facing role. Strong understanding of commercial real estate, property management, leasing, investment properties, or asset management. Demonstrated success in developing relationships with senior decision-makers and securing new business opportunities. Experience negotiating contracts and closing complex commercial agreements. Excellent communication, presentation, networking, and relationship management skills. Results-oriented, self-motivated professional with a strong ability to identify and capitalize on growth opportunities. Existing professional network within the Calgary commercial real estate market is considered a strong asset.
