About the role
Responsibilities Accounting
- Actively participate in the month end and year end processes (i.e. journal entries, reconciliations, forecasts, budgets, etc.)
- Ensure data integrity and that results are reported under current accounting standards
Financial Analysis
- Conduct monthly financial analyses of revenue and expenses
- Explain budget discrepancies and forecast differences
- Create and analyze reports, dashboards and financial models in order to monitor performance
Controls, Processes and Systems
- Follow internal financial processes and ensure accounting standards are applied
- Participate in system optimization to increase the efficiency and accuracy of financial reporting (e.g. developing new processes, tools and models)
- Improve documentation of financial processes
Education And Training
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Has or is in the process of obtaining a CPA title or equivalent
Experience
- 1 to 3 years’ experience in accounting or corporate finance
Skills, Knowledge And Abilities
- Excellent analytical abilities and critical thinking
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Bilingual (French and English)
- Team spirit and interpersonal skills
- Client orientation
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (mainly Excel and PowerPoint)
- Knowledge of SAP (asset)
