Assistant Superintendent of Professional Learning
The Winnipeg School Division is inviting applications of interest for the position of Assistant Superintendent of Professional Learning.
Start Date: August 10 th , 2026

Note: French Immersion experience and fluency in French are assets for this position, but not essential.
The primary responsibilities of the Assistant Superintendent – Professional Learning are to provide leadership and support related to improving practice and adult impact on learners throughout the Division, while working with the Superintendents' Team and schools to respond to the needs of staff, learners, and families. The Assistant Superintendent of Professional Learning also administers the professional development fund of WSD while coordinating external research.
Qualifications: Consideration will be given to applicants who experience, qualifications, and knowledge related to the following:
Permanent Manitoba Teaching Certificate; Master of Education (M.Ed.); A minimum seven (7) years experience in a leadership capacity with curriculum, instruction and assessment across instructional levels; Equivalent combination of related education and related experience may be acceptable; Substantial experience leading schools through transformation; High capacity for negotiating complex ideas and competing interests; Ability to work in a team environment; Fundamental love for children; Commitment to equity, inclusion, and anti-racism with a proven ability to advocate for and address the social and systemic exclusion of equity-deserving groups in all institutional systems, practices, and procedures; A proven track record of reimagining what schools might be for all learners; Proven commitment to Truth and Reconciliation; Proven ability to build collaborated cultures founded on integrity and collective purpose; Experience in K-12 schools; Unwavering energy and ability to meet challenges head on.
