Part-time IT Support Technician (Contract)

ActiveCo Technology Management, a New Charter Technologies Company, is seeking a Junior IT Support Technician to provide reliable technical support to our clients. This is a part-time, 6-month contract position) , with the possibility of extension and potential to transition into a full-time role.
The successful candidate will work onsite at a client’s office in Burnaby and occasionally from our Port Coquitlam head office , depending on operational needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to end users via phone, email, and in person.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues efficiently.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, software, and peripherals.
- Collaborate with senior technicians to escalate and resolve complex issues.
- Document troubleshooting procedures and maintain knowledge base articles.
- Manage and track IT inventory and equipment assignments.
- Assist with IT projects, including system upgrades and rollouts.
- Educate end users on basic troubleshooting and IT best practices.
- Stay current on technology trends and recommend process improvements.
Qualifications
- Experience with desktop operating systems including Windows 10/11 Pro , macOS , and iOS .
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 , including Teams and SharePoint.
- Working knowledge of audio/visual equipment setup and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with Windows Print Services administration.
- Understanding of helpdesk ticketing systems and workflow management.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
Compensation
Hourly Rate: $16.75 – $18.00
