About the role

Our client, a leading national Business Law Firm, is looking to add a Director of Professional Resources to join their Vancouver (or Calgary) office.

This role offers an exciting and unique opportunity to work where people, strategy and technology converge, helping to shape the next generation of legal talent!

As an integral member of the firm’s professional development team, the Director will be responsible for the law student and associate programs across the Vancouver and Calgary offices.

Our client is deeply invested in leading-edge innovation, including the use of AI, to drive efficiency, enhance output, and improve the overall lawyer experience. As Director, Professional Resources, you will play a central role in advancing this vision by applying technology to strengthen program execution and operational performance.

Requirements:

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Be a current or former practicing lawyer and/or have a minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience in human resources/recruitment in professional services ideally within a law firm setting.
  • A strong interest in — and understanding of — technological innovation in legal practice is essential.
  • Highly-developed and demonstrable interpersonal, communication, organizational time & management skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, with people at all levels
  • Proven track record of management, organizational, delegation, time management and supervisory skills.
  • Strong leadership skills, ability to balance multiple demands and project manage.
