WE ARE LOOKING FOR A forward-thinking, forward-doing LEADER The Opportunity As a Team Lead for our Agile Product Owner team, you’ll fuel your passion and creativity while being supported by a team that feels like family. You'll dive right in, leading the strategic software development product roadmap that helps our business teams deliver products and services that allow our members to live their lives with confidence. How You’ll Make An Impact

  • Drive Software Transformation: Lead software development initiatives, ensuring that product development aligns with company goals and delivers value for the committed effort, keeping within established budget guardrails. Guide other Product Owners in achieving their objectives and continuously driving incremental value and improvement in your products.
  • Collaborate with Development Teams: Work closely with software development teams to ensure all product solutions adhere to best practices. Your collaboration will ensure that the products are not only functional but also provide an exceptional user experience.
  • Manage Stakeholders: Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels, clearly communicating the product vision, strategy, and progress. Ensure alignment with business objectives and manage expectations effectively.
  • Optimize Software Products: Lead the performance and optimization of software products, using data insights to enhance user experience and meet specific business targets. Prioritize initiatives to maximize impact and ROI.
  • Create and Continuously Curate a Software Product Roadmap: Partner with business units to create and maintain a strategic product roadmap that ensures the highest value for both members, employees, and the organization. This roadmap will be continuously adjusted and refined over time to meet evolving business needs and optimize outcomes.
  • Mentor Product Owners: Provide leadership and mentorship to other Product Owners, fostering an environment of collaboration, innovation, and professional growth. Support their development to ensure they can successfully manage their own products.
  • Maximize Commercial Software Utilization: Identify and leverage opportunities to maximize the usage and functions of commercial software products. Your expertise will help integrate these solutions into our product roadmap, ensuring they deliver optimal value and meet business needs.

What You Bring To The Table

  • Product Management: You have a proven track record of leading product initiatives that successfully meet or exceed business targets. Your experience spans working with diverse stakeholders, including senior executives.
  • Collaboration with Development Teams: You have experience working closely with development teams, ensuring that all software products adhere to best practices and deliver excellent user experiences.
  • Leadership & Mentorship: You’ve demonstrated your ability to lead and mentor other Product Owners, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment. Your guidance has helped others grow and succeed in their roles.
  • Strategic Alignment: You have a solid understanding of how to align software products with business strategies, effectively prioritizing initiatives to achieve organizational goals.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills have enabled you to influence and inspire teams and stakeholders, fostering a culture of empathy and collaboration.

AMA is a multi-service organization representing 1 million Albertans. While most often known for our roadside assistance program, we also offer travel, registries and insurance services, Alberta’s largest driver education school, a member rewards program and member events in our communities. Part of the CAA and AAA family, we’re focused on our member’s needs and guided by their values to provide products, services and advocacy to help them live confidently.
