On behalf of our client, a trusted property management company in the Annapolis Valley, we are looking for a Resident Manager to join their growing team.

The Opportunity As the Resident Manager , you’ll oversee the day-to-day operations of the buildings, ensuring they are safe, clean, and well-maintained. Reporting to the Property Manager, you will be responsible for repairs, tenant relationships, leasing, financial oversight, and administrative duties, while leading and supervising Assistant Resident Manager. This is a hands-on role with on-call responsibilities.
The Ideal Candidate You are a hands-on, organized, and professional property management professional who thrives in a role that blends maintenance, tenant care, and administration. You bring a strong work ethic, excellent communication, and the ability to manage independently while collaborating with your team.
Responsibilities
- Perform general repairs, unit turnovers, and maintenance within your capabilities.
- Conduct inspections of buildings and grounds to ensure safety and cleanliness.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with tenants; log and follow-up on requests.
- Lease units, prepare lease documents, and manage move-in/out procedures.
- Collect rent and update property management system (Yardi).
- Oversee and support contractors (repairs, landscaping, snow removal, waste disposal).
- Monitor budgets, reduce expenses, and report financial activities to the Property Manager.
- Respond to fire alarms, manage evacuations, and liaise with emergency officials.
- Complete on-call walk-throughs of buildings and grounds.
Requirements
- Previous experience in property or facilities management.
- Skilled in cleaning, general maintenance, and repair work.
- Proficient with MS Office and property management systems (Yardi preferred).
- Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Professionalism, initiative, and ability to work independently.
Benefits
- Annual salary + apartment included in total compensation package (including Bell package + monthly Power).
- On-call duties required.
