Salary Range: $90,000-$115,000 (base salary + bonus)
Position Summary:
407 ETR is looking for a creative, detail-oriented, and collaborative Graphic Designer to join its Communications & Government Relations team. This role brings ideas to life through thoughtful, on-brand visuals that engage and inspire. You’ll collaborate with a team that values creativity, innovation and storytelling, helping evolve 407 ETR’s trusted brand in fresh and meaningful ways. This role brings exposure to high-impact creative work that reaches millions of drivers, customers and community members.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design engaging, high-quality visuals for a range of channels such as digital, web, print, out-of-home and more.
- Contribute to the creative direction and visual storytelling for campaigns, sponsorships and corporate initiatives.
- Ensure brand consistency and quality across all creative materials while helping evolve and modernize 407 ETR’s visual identity.
- Support community and employee engagement initiatives with strong visual design — from event branding to presentation materials.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand project objectives and translate them into clear, effective design solutions.
- Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, balancing creativity with deadlines and business needs.
- Work with vendors and production partners to deliver print-ready and digital assets that meet brand and technical standards.
- Plan, storyboard and produce high quality video, graphics, transitions, and effects to enhance storytelling.
- Maintain organized design systems and digital asset libraries, ensuring easy access and version control.
- Stay ahead of design trends, accessibility standards, and emerging tools to keep creative output fresh and inclusive.
- Ability to capture high-quality photos and videos.
- Edit photos and videos for use across digital platforms, presentations and promotional materials.
- Strong storytelling skills to communicate effectively through different mediums.
Qualifications:
- Degree or diploma in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or equivalent professional experience.
- Approximately 5+ years of experience in graphic design, preferably within a corporate or agency environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign); motion or video editing skills (After Effects, Premiere Pro, Canva or Figma).
- Solid understanding of responsive and accessible design and AODA.
- Strong conceptual thinking and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate brand strategy into creative visuals.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
- Possesses an eye for visual design and stays ahead of industry trends to keep communications products modern and fresh.
- Proficient working in a Mac environment.
- Experience with data-driven design (e.g. A/B testing)
- A positive, proactive attitude and curiosity to continuously learn and evolve your craft.
- Practical knowledge of modern web standards, user experience, and user interface design principles and best practices considered an asset.
- The successful candidate must have superior time management skills and demonstrated experience in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
