Responsibilities:
- Carry out inspections during the production of Diamond products per quality policy.
- Identify, document and control non-conformances in accordance with the approved drawings and procedures.
- Coordinate inspections activities with other affected departments.
- Ensure all quality records, reports and forms are properly executed before approval.
- Recommend improved inspection procedures and methods that which would improve the quality and economic efficiency of maintenance.
- Accomplish the final release of all parts, assemblies, and the airworthiness of articles on which work has been performed, as required.
- Oversee the proper tagging and identification of all parts and components as outlined in the QPM.
- Provide for continuity of inspection, assuring completion of required inspection when personnel shift or assignment changes occur.
- Ensure rejected and unserviceable parts are quarantined to prevent their reuse as serviceable parts.
- Perform all work in accordance with Health and Safety policies.
- Assist the Quality Assurance department in maintaining the production control and quality assurance systems.
- Perform such other work as requested.
Skills & Experience:
- Aircraft maintenance/manufacturing experience required.
- Technical knowledge of materials and processes used at Diamond.
- Knowledge and experience with the assembly of aeronautical products.
- Knowledge and experience with the manufacturing of Diamond products.
- Experience in reading and interpreting drawings.
- Knowledge of Diamonds Production and Quality System.
- Proficient in MS Office products.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to present ideas and give instructions/guidance to production co-workers.
- Ability to prioritize work effectively.
- High School diploma.
- Knowledge in determining the airworthiness of a product or of in-process and final inspection of parts and assemblies is a benefit.
