Responsibilities:

• Carry out inspections during the production of Diamond products per quality policy.
• Identify, document and control non-conformances in accordance with the approved drawings and procedures.
• Coordinate inspections activities with other affected departments.
• Ensure all quality records, reports and forms are properly executed before approval.
• Recommend improved inspection procedures and methods that which would improve the quality and economic efficiency of maintenance.
• Accomplish the final release of all parts, assemblies, and the airworthiness of articles on which work has been performed, as required.
• Oversee the proper tagging and identification of all parts and components as outlined in the QPM.
• Provide for continuity of inspection, assuring completion of required inspection when personnel shift or assignment changes occur.
• Ensure rejected and unserviceable parts are quarantined to prevent their reuse as serviceable parts.
• Perform all work in accordance with Health and Safety policies.
• Assist the Quality Assurance department in maintaining the production control and quality assurance systems.
• Perform such other work as requested.

Skills & Experience:

• Aircraft maintenance/manufacturing experience required.
• Technical knowledge of materials and processes used at Diamond.
• Knowledge and experience with the assembly of aeronautical products.
• Knowledge and experience with the manufacturing of Diamond products.
• Experience in reading and interpreting drawings.
• Knowledge of Diamonds Production and Quality System.
• Proficient in MS Office products.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to present ideas and give instructions/guidance to production co-workers.
• Ability to prioritize work effectively.
• High School diploma.
• Knowledge in determining the airworthiness of a product or of in-process and final inspection of parts and assemblies is a benefit.
