About The Role

We’re actively searching for a Water and Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator to join the Côté Gold team, working a 14/14 rotation at our onsite mining, with a start date to be determined. Reporting to the Site Services Senior Supervisor, this role ensures the safe, reliable operation of water and wastewater treatment facilities while supporting execution of the integrated site plan.

This role supports IMG’s purpose by protecting water quality and ensuring environmentally responsible operations. By maintaining compliance and system reliability, the Water and Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator helps safeguard the environment, communities, and the long-term sustainability of site operations.

Responsibilities

Operate, monitor, and optimize water and wastewater treatment processes and equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and regulatory-compliant operations. Inspect, evaluate, and adjust treatment systems, pumps, valves, motors, chemical dosing equipment, and related infrastructure to maximize efficiency and performance. Utilize SCADA systems, laboratory information management systems, and other operational tools to monitor, manage, and validate process data. Collect, transport, and analyze water and wastewater samples, perform process calculations, and maintain accurate operational records and documentation. Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and diagnostic activities while ensuring equipment is operated and maintained in accordance with health and safety standards. Respond to alarms, equipment malfunctions, and emergency situations by troubleshooting issues and implementing corrective actions. Identify operational risks, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities, and collaborate with team members to support continuous improvement initiatives. Coordinate effectively with staff, mentor and train new employees, maintain accurate shift and equipment logs, and contribute to multidisciplinary teams to achieve operational goals.

Job Qualifications

Key Skills & Knowledge

Level 1 or higher Water Treatment Operator Certificate of Competency. Level 1 or higher Wastewater Treatment Operator Certificate of Competency. Level 1 or higher Wastewater Collection Operator Certificate of Competency.

Relevant Experience

A minimum of 5 years of related work experience. Previous experience in remote camp site services is considered an asset.

Skills & Strengths, We Value

Knowledge of applicable legislation (e.g., Occupational Health and Safety Act, Ontario Water Regulation Act, Safe Drinking Water Act, Environmental Protection Act) and ability to work independently or in a team. Proficient in computer applications and maintenance software, with strong communication skills. Valid Ontario driver’s license with the ability to perform effectively under pressure.

The final offer is determined based on your individual skills, qualifications, and competencies and aligned with our commitment to internal equity.

Salary Range: $89,000 - $133,500 + Bonus
