Start Date April 2026 – Arrival + Orientation & Training
May 2026 – Begin paid teaching position
Location
Placements range from vibrant cities to scenic rural towns. Rural placements offer an authentic “real Thailand” experience with a lower cost of living and strong community connections. Training will take place in Bangkok, and the majority of teaching placements will be in the Northeastern area of the country known as Esan.
Position Overview
TESOL Elite Canada is recruiting enthusiastic, adaptable teachers for full-semester English teaching placements across Thailand
Teachers will support English language development in Thai kindergarten, elementary, or high school classrooms. This is an excellent opportunity for first-time teachers or those seeking international teaching experience in a culturally rich environment.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Teach English to Thai kindergarten, elementary, or high school students in accordance with school expectations and age-appropriate learning outcomes.
- Plan and deliver engaging, communicative English lessons that support students’ speaking, listening, reading, and basic writing development.
- Use provided curriculum materials effectively while adapting lessons to suit students’ proficiency levels and classroom contexts.
- Create a positive, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and confidence in using English.
- Manage classroom routines and student behaviour in line with Thai school norms and cultural expectations.
- Assess student progress informally through classroom activities, assignments, and participation, and provide constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with Thai co-teachers, school staff, and administrators to support students’ language learning and school activities.
- Participate in school events, meetings, and activities as required by the host school.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in any field (required)
- Valid passport from the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, or South Africa; OR non-native English speakers from Western Europe, Russia, or Ukraine
- Teaching experience preferred but not required
- TEFL/TESOL/CELTA certificate preferred but not essential
