The Inside Equipment Sales Manager serves as the senior customer facing leader for the compact equipment sales and marketing organization, driving performance, profitability, and market growth across Western Canada. This role carries full accountability for revenue generation, margin improvement, and the delivery of exceptional customer satisfaction across the region. With a clear strategic vision and a commitment to operational excellence, the Manager provides strong leadership to a high performing team of Inside Equipment Sales Representatives, fostering a culture of engagement, execution, and continuous improvement.

Job Description: Major Job Functions Strategic Leadership & Sales Management

  • Provide strategic management of all aspects of the Compact Cat Equipment sales force to maximize effectiveness, efficiency, and market penetration.
  • Lead, coach, mentor, and develop a team of Inside Equipment Sales Representatives, ensuring continuous growth in capability and performance.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to drive growth in parts, service, and equipment sales.
  • Utilize SalesLink and other CRM tools to support long‑term customer relationship strategies and sales productivity.

Collaboration & Communication

  • Maintain strong, collaborative relationships with branch and regional operational managers to ensure seamless support of customer needs.
  • Communicate competitive intelligence, product updates, market trends, and product health and safety information in a timely and effective manner.
  • Support alignment between sales, operations, and product support teams to enhance customer satisfaction and service delivery.

Customer & Market Focus

  • Develop and execute strategic plans that strengthen customer relationships, drive repeat business, and expand market share for Compact Cat Equipment.
  • Represent the organization professionally and ethically in all customer and industry interactions.

Accountabilities

  • Achieve revenue, expense, and profitability targets for Compact Cat Equipment
  • Lead and support all health, safety, and environmental initiatives
  • Drive strategic development and retention of key customer relationships
  • Ensure high levels of team engagement, performance, and professional conduct

Education And Experience

  • Minimum 10+ years of progressive strategic or management experience, ideally within equipment, industrial, or heavy machinery sectors
  • Experience leading sales teams and driving performance in a competitive market environment
  • Demonstrated success in building customer relationships and delivering growth results
  • Excellent business acumen, including financial understanding relevant to sales and profitability
  • Strong understanding of Compact Cat Equipment products, services, applications, and customer industries
  • Knowledge of sales processes, CRM systems, and market dynamics in Western Canada
  • Strong influencing and relationship management capabilities
  • Exceptional presentation and communication abilities
  • Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
  • High degree of professionalism and customer focus
  • Ability to represent the Company with integrity, professionalism, and a strong commitment to customer success
  • Travel will be required for this role
