Join us at the District of Chetwynd – we have an opening for a Full Time Maintenance/Water/Sewer I. This is a specialized position responsible for the operation, servicing and maintenance of all municipally operated water and sewer systems including our water treatment plant. This position also includes the operation of equipment utilized in construction, maintenance and repairs of the water and sewer infrastructure.

The candidate must possess one of the following valid BC Environmental Operator’s Certifications:

• Water Distribution Level 1; or

• Water Treatment Level 1; or

• Wastewater Collection Level 1; or

• Wastewater Treatment Level 1; or

• Small Water Systems; or

• Small Wastewater Systems

The ideal candidate will have a BC Driver’s License Class 3 with Air Endorsement and must be physically capable of performing the required duties including working on call and on weekends. Additional training such as CPR, First Aid Training, WHMIS, SCBA Confined Space Entry would be an asset.
