About The Role

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Trade Marketing Manager to join our team at Olymel. Reporting directly to the National Director of Market Strategy, this role is pivotal in developing and executing trade marketing initiatives that align with our overall business objectives. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing programs that enhance brand visibility, drive sales, and foster strong relationships with retail partners and internal teams. This role requires a proactive approach, excellent collaboration skills, and a deep understanding of the retail landscape, including e-commerce and omnichannel marketing strategies. The Trade Marketing Manager will also oversee promotional activities, manage budgets, and lead a team to ensure the successful implementation of marketing campaigns across Canada, contributing significantly to Olymel’s growth and market positioning.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, or a related field. A minimum of 5 to 8 years of experience in trade marketing, shopper marketing, client marketing, sales, or go-to-market strategies is required. Experience within the consumer goods industry or retail sector will be considered a strong asset, as well as prior management experience. The candidate should demonstrate strong leadership skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a strategic mindset. Proficiency in both French and English is essential for effective communication across Canadian markets. A solid understanding of digital marketing, retail media, and omnichannel strategies is highly desirable. Candidates must exhibit a results-oriented attitude, analytical skills, financial acumen, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

The Trade Marketing Manager will undertake a variety of responsibilities, including:

Developing and implementing trade and shopper marketing programs aligned with business priorities and growth targets. Collaborating closely with sales, marketing, and key account teams to create tailored initiatives for retailers and regional markets. Coordinating promotional activations, sales tools, merchandising materials, and managing external partners involved in project execution. Supporting product launches and ensuring effective go-to-market strategies are executed with clients, retailers, and sales teams nationwide. Managing promotional budgets, tracking financial performance, and measuring the ROI of marketing initiatives to optimize investment outcomes. Creating tools, presentations, and programs to empower sales teams and support the execution of commercial strategies. Leading, motivating, and developing the trade marketing team to enhance their skills and performance. Contributing to the evolution of team practices by integrating best practices in e-commerce, retail media, and omnichannel marketing.
